Why do you beat me in secret?
Why do you keep the bedroom door locked while you throw
heavy blows on my face?
What is it that you do not want the children to see?
The swollen area around my eyes that is now getting darker
and darker?
Do you think they have not seen it already?
Why do you throw that angry look at me secretly when the
children are there?
What is it that you do not want them to see?
That you hate me so much?
Why do you hide that from them?
Why do you hide your true colors from the children you
sired?
Do you want them to know that you are a good humble person
while in real sense you are a beast?
Do you now fear that your son will inherit your beastly
acts?
Do you now fear that your daughter will grow to hate men if
she sees you beating me?
Why do you want our children not to know that we are
separating?
Why do you want us to continue lying to them?
Why should we continue living a lie in front of them? Acting
as if everything is okay while in real sense we are getting nowhere with this,
If you are doing the right thing, why hide it from them?
If you really hate me this much, then let the world know,
If you really care about their feelings, then let them know
the truth,
Let our children hear us!
